  • Promotion of a specific product or service.

Why is it important to choose right type of campaign?
Each type of campaign is designed to meet specific objectives. Identifying your needs (engagement, audience, listeners, sales, etc.) will enable you to maximize the impact of your campaigns.

II. Focus A/B Test Content

An A/B test is a method that compares multiple variations of the same campaign to see which one performs best.

For example: Running two different pieces of content (visuals, videos, captions) to the same audience and analyzing which generates the most results.

A/B testing is essential because it allows you to:

  • Optimize performance – quickly identify what works best.
  • Avoid wasting budget – cut the weaker version and reallocate the remaining budget to the stronger one.
  • Better understand your audience – learn what engages them the most.

When to use it?

When you want to test two or three different pieces of content for the same promo or campaign objective.
On Ctrl+Reach, this option will be offered to you when selecting your campaign objective.

How does it work?

On Ctrl+Reach, only content A/B testing is available. If you want to run an A/B test on audiences, you’ll need to launch 2 separate campaigns.

When a campaign is launched as an A/B test on Ctrl+Reach, it goes through a learning phase lasting around 2–3 days. During this phase, both (or all three) contents run in parallel and are compared by our algorithm.

Then, the algorithm optimizes the campaign:

  • If the contents perform equally → the algorithm keeps them running in parallel.
  • If one content outperforms the other(s) → the algorithm automatically stops the weaker one(s) and shifts the budget to the best performer.

How to launch an A/B Test campaign

  1. Create your campaign.
  2. In the first part of the “Objective” setup, give your campaign a name and enter the link if requested in the objective.
  3. Then go to “Options” and check “A/B Test.”

  1. Continue with the setup as normal until you reach the "Content" section.

  1. Choose between:
  • Ghost post,
  • or Existing post (note: you cannot mix both).
  1. Add up to 3 variations (⚠️ Existing post is only possible if you stay on a single platform).

  1. Configure your variants with different content for each one.
  2. Finalize and launch your campaign.
  3. You can check the results of your A/B test in the Content tab of the campaign report.

How to name your variants

To easily keep track of your A/B test campaigns, we recommend giving each variant a clear, short, and explicit name.

Best practices:

  • Use 1–2 words maximum, or a very short phrase.
  • Clearly indicate what changes between variants (content, format, hook, text, etc.).
  • Keep a consistent naming logic across all your campaigns.

Editing an A/B test campaign while it’s running

1. Add a new variant

You can now add new variants even while your A/B test campaign is already running.
To do this:

  • go to your Campaign Dashboard

  • navigate to the Content section
  • in the variants tab, click on “Add variant” in the top right corner

WARNING

The type of content you can add depends on what you selected when launching your campaign:

  • if you started with dark posts, you can only add dark post variants
  • if you used existing posts, you can only add existing posts

Then:

  • select the content you want to add
  • click on “Create and launch”

The new variant will be directly added to your ongoing campaign.

2. Enable or disable a variant

You can also enable or disable a variant directly from your campaign.

To do this:

  • go to your Campaign Dashboard

  • navigate to the Content section
  • open the Variants tab
  • check the variant to enable it
  • uncheck the variant to disable it

Changes are applied immediately to your campaign.

III. Focus Youtube

On Ctrl+Reach, these campaigns come in two main formats: In-Feed Ads and In-Stream Ads. You can choose to use one or the other, or both at the same time, depending on your objective.

In-Feed Ads

In-Feed Ads appear as sponsored suggestions on the YouTube homepage, in search results or next to recommended videos. They are particularly effective in driving interested audiences to click on your video and generate engagement.

In-Stream Ads

In-Stream Ads are video ads that run before, during or after another YouTube video. They can be skipped after 5 seconds. This type of campaign is perfect for rapidly increasing video views.

Choose between In-Feed, In-Stream or both?

The choice between these two types of campaign depends on your objective:

  • If you're looking to generate engagement on your video → favor In-Feed Ads.
  • If you want to maximize video views → optez pour In-Stream Ads.
  • If you want overall impact → combine the two.

Set your choice on Ctrl+Reach:

Why are these budgets important?
The recommended minimum budgets guarantee sufficient visibility for your campaigns to achieve their objectives. They enable you to maximize your advertising performance while optimizing your return on investment.

V. Create and Launch a Campaign on Ctrl+Reach

Create and launch a campaign on Ctrl+Reach is quick and easy. Here's a step-by-step guide to setting up your advertising campaign.

Step 1: Get to dashboard

  • Log in to your Ctrl+Reach account.
  • On your left-hand menu, click on the Campaigns button, then on your campaign dashboard, click on “New campaign”.

  • Choose the profile on which you want to run a campaign

Step 2: Choose your campaign objective

Select the main objective of your campaign from the following options:

  1. Interactions & Awareness: Promote a post or content to generate interaction.
  2. Audience Growth: Increase subscribers or collect emails.
  3. Listeners and Saves: Increase streams or generate pre-saves.
  4. Sales and Others: Encourage clicks on external links for specific sales or conversions.

Step 3: Configure settings

  • Duration: Select start and end dates

  • Budget & platforms: Define budget you want to invest and platforms on which to run ads (minimum of €10 per day, per platform, per country).

  • Territories: Select countries, regions or cities you wish to target.

IMPORTANT
Geographic targeting is different between Meta and TikTok.
That’s why, when you want to target a region or a city, you must add them separately on each platform.

Watch out for duplicates

  • You can add a region and additional cities if needed
  • However, you cannot add a city that is already included within a selected region

  • Age and gender: Determine age range and gender of your audience.

CTRL+REACH RULES: To optimize your results, the minimum campaign budget is €10 per day, per country, per platform.

Step 4: Define your audience

  • Fanbase + Lookalike: automatically selected in your campaign (you can deselect some depending on the audience you want to reach).

  • Audience Library: Choose a category that match with our audience library.

  • Personalized targeting and audience profiles: Add keywords or connected profiles (Meta and/or Youtube) from your Ctrl+Reach account to refine your targeting.

TO KNOW: A Ctrl+Reach audience library groups audiences based on popular categories. Favouring categories with ‘Interests’ next to them as an example (e.g. Taylor Swift for Pop) allows the algorithm to refine targeting.

Step 5: Configure content

  • Choose content: Select an existing post on your social networks or create a dark post directly on Ctrl+Reach.
  • Customize: Add a text caption if needed (dark posts only)

WARNING: Carousels are not compatible with listener and save campaigns. They can be used for audience growth and sales campaigns. For engagement and awareness campaigns, carousels are allowed only without a link, or with a link to your Instagram profile.

Step 6: Validation and launch

  • Once all steps have been completed, click on “Validate”.
  • Your campaign will be submitted for validation by Meta, Google or TikTok (depending on chosen platform).
  • Once validated, the campaign will be launched automatically.

Ctrl+Reach offers several audience types to adapt to your needs and optimize your advertising campaigns. Here's an overview of the three main audience types available:

Audience Fan Base

Fan Base + Lookalike : Based on data from your existing fans, such as those who interact with your social networks or watch your videos. Reach users with behaviors similar to those of your fans.
Objective: Target existing fans or people similar to your current fans.
Recommended for :

  • Build community loyalty.
  • Reach an audience close to your existing fans.

Audience Library

Ctrl+Reach Base: An audience predefined by Ctrl+Reach, comprising fans of a certain category (par exemple Film-Action).

Objective : Reach a targeted audience interest category. Based on our audience pool of +1000 genres.
Recommended for:

  • Campaigns to promote specific categories.

LITTLE +: A Ctrl+Reach type pool brings together audiences based on popular subjects and fans of similar well-known personalities. The right choice maximises the impact of your campaign!

Personalized Audience

Meta base: You can create an audience based on specific interests in Meta, such as keywords or well-known personalities. Example: “Electronic Music,” “Streetwear,” or an personality like “Charli XCX”.

Connected profiles: use all the profiles fanbases audiences already connected to Ctrl+Reach, if their audiences fits with your campaign targeting

Import: Import your database (pixel, emails, fans, etc.) to create a customized audience on Meta.
Objective: Create a specific audience based on your own data or interests.
Recommended for :

  • Retargeting or hyper-specific targeting campaigns.
  • Conversion or selling campaigns

Pixel or Mail audience via Meta

If you work with Ctrl+Reach on your own Business Manager, and your request concerns a mail audience to be managed directly in Meta, it's important not to confuse it with audiences configured via Ctrl+Reach.
In this case, request a transfer to an agent, so that we can support you in setting up your audience directly in Business Manager.

VII. Programming a campaign

On Ctrl+Reach, you can program your campaigns in advance, but some platforms have their own specificities to take into account.

Scheduling on Meta (Facebook & Instagram)

With Meta (Facebook and Instagram), you can choose the exact time your campaign will start. This allows you to optimize the distribution of your content according to the most strategic moments for your audience.

Programming on Google Ads (YouTube)

On Google Ads (YouTube), campaign scheduling works differently. Even if you select a specific time on Ctrl+Reach, broadcasting will start automatically at midnight on the day your campaign begins. It's therefore essential to ensure that your video is already published before that time, to avoid any problems and guarantee smooth delivery from the very start of the campaign.

TIP: If you want to promote a YouTube video, make sure it's already published before the campaign starts, to avoid any interruptions or loss of broadcasting time.

VIII. Extend a campaign or add budget

It is possible to modify a campaign's duration or budget under certain conditions:

  • You cannot extend a campaign that has been stopped by our algorithm.
  • You can extend a campaign that has been terminated or refunded.
  • You can add budget without extending duration, but you can't add days without adding budget.

How can I change the duration or budget of a campaign?

Step 1 - Access your campaign

  • Go to Campaigns page and select the campaign you wish to modify.

Step 2 - Click on “Extend"

Step 3 - Add a new date and/or additional budget

  • You can choose a new end date or add budget, but these two actions are not mandatory. You can modify either of them to suit your needs.

WARNING: For the new budget to be taken into account, you need to enter your starting budget plus the budget you want to add.

Once you've made your changes, press “Validate”. Your campaign will be updated with the new settings.

IX. Edit an ongoing campaign

You can modify certain parameters of your campaign directly from your dashboard. Here are the elements you can adjust and the conditions you must respect.

1. Go to campaign modification

  • Go to your profile's dashboard.
  • Select the campaign you wish to modify.
  • Click on the edit button to access the editable parameters.

2. Editable elements

You can adjust the following parameters:

  • Audience: Modify or adjust your targeting to optimize results.

  • Content: Change visuals or video if necessary.

  • Date: Add time to your campaign if it is still running.
  • Budget: Increase the budget to reach a larger audience.

Conditions for modifying a campaign

  • No minimum number of days required to make a modification (for the moment).
  • If the campaign is finished, you'll need to extend it before you can modify it.

X. Duplicate a Campaign

The “Duplicate” function lets you recreate an existing campaign while reusing its settings (audiences, content, budget), which saves time. It’s especially useful if you want to restart a stopped campaign or test a new approach without starting from scratch.

Steps to duplicate a campaign

  1. On the app, select the profile concerned (or go to the “Campaigns” section)
  2. Find the campaign you want to duplicate in the campaign list.
  3. Click on the “Duplicate” button.

  1. A new campaign will be created automatically. You can then adjust the content, targeting, or budget if needed before validating.

WARNING: After duplicating, always double-check all parameters (genre, interests, content, dates) to make sure your campaign is optimized.
