Youtube - Complete Guide

To use Ctrl+Reach and properly manage your digital promotion on YouTube, you need to connect your YouTube Studio to our Google Ads account.

This connection is required to launch and manage YouTube ad campaigns.

You can be:

• the owner of the YouTube channel, or
• an administrator / collaborator

👉 The steps depend on your level of access.

⚠️ Before you start

When starting the connection, you’ll need to choose one of the following options:

• Option 1: “I am the owner”
• Option 2: “I am not the owner”

Option 1 — You are the owner of the YouTube channel

Choose this option if you created the YouTube channel and are the main owner / administrator.

Steps to follow:

1. On Ctrl+Reach, go to “Manage artists”
2. Click “Edit” under the relevant artist profile

3. Click “Link YouTube”

4. Select “I am the owner”
5. Paste your YouTube channel link
6. Click “Open your invitation”

Associate the channel in YouTube Studio

1. You’ll be redirected to YouTube Studio
2. An association invitation will appear

• Name the association “Ctrl+Reach” or “AdsLink”

3. Click “Associate”

Final step

1. Go back to Ctrl+Reach
2. Confirm the connection

Your YouTube channel is now connected to Ctrl+Reach

Option 2 — You are NOT the owner of the YouTube channel

Choose this option if you are an admin or collaborator, but not the channel owner.

On the Ctrl+Reach side

1. On Ctrl+Reach, go to “Manage artists”
2. Click “Edit” under the relevant profile
3. Click “Link YouTube”
4. Select “I am not the owner”
5. Send the owner of the channel the link to this article so that they can carry out the steps below. 

On the channel owner’s side

The owner must complete the following steps:

1. Retrieve the code from the YouTube channel

• The chain link contains a termination of the type /UC + a sequence of characters.
• Example : YoutubeBefore you continue to YouTubebJoZeFWoyT-CfOmHzDBlNA
• Copies only the string of characters at the end of the URL (the one after /UC)

2. Generate the AdsLink link

• Paste this string at the end of the AdsLinklink, after the =

Example :

• Youtubeyoutube.com/adwords?link_customer=259-028-1701&channel=
• Youtubeyoutube.com/adwords?link_customer=259-028-1701&channel=bJoZeFWoyT-CfOmHzDBlNA
• Then paste this entire link into your browser.

3. Confirm the association

• Name the link between AdsLink and your channel as you wish.
• Leave all options checked.
• Click on Validate. 

The owner has completed the process.

Final step on Ctrl+Reach

Once the association is accepted:

1. Paste the YouTube channel link
2. Check “My artist has linked…”
3. Click “Validate”

The connection is now complete!
